After bringing the puppy home and cleaning him carefully, the rescuer tried to offer milk.

But this puppy did not drink.

Instead, he lay quietly and refused food. The next day, it became clear that something was very wrong. The puppy was suffering from a severe digestive illness.

He was taken to a veterinarian, where he received intravenous fluids and medication over the next two days.

Still, his condition remained critical.
